Breeze Airways has launched a nonstop service to Nassau in the Bahamas. The service, which will begin on 11 Jun 2026, will be a twice a week service from Tampa. This is Breeze’s first international airport service from Tampa International Airport to Lynden Pindling International Airport.
The new route is excellent news for travellers seeking additional networks to visit the Bahamas from Florida. It will also give them a convenient, affordable option to visit the Bahamas in the summer travel season.
The Bahamas Ministry of Tourism, Investments & Aviation (BMOTIA) welcomed the announcement, which will “strengthen airlift from key U.S. markets, partnerships.” Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Tourism, Investments & Aviation, Hon. I. Chester Cooper sees the new service as a boost for the islands’ core tourism growth strategy and an opening for “additional opportunities for visitation, investment, and economic activity.”
Founder and CEO of Breeze Airways David Neeleman praised the new service. “This currently unserved route to the Bahamas will be a great addition to our network in Tampa and a highly desirable destination for summer travel.”
Breeze in the Caribbean
Nassau is Breeze Airways’ third Caribbean destination. This addition to their route network reflects the airline’s confidence in The Bahamas as a year-round destination. Breeze also services Montego Bay in Jamaica and Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic.
