Wyndham Barbados to Host The Navigator’s Table

Caribbean culinary traditions will take center stage this July as Wyndham Grand Barbados Sam Lord’s Castle hosts The Navigator’s Table: The Provision Ground. This is an immersive fine-dining experience that will celebrate the region’s rich agricultural heritage through an entirely plant-based menu.

Scheduled for Saturday, July 18, the one-night event is part of The Navigator’s Table residency series. This event by Best Dressed Plate, will be held in partnership with Wyndham Grand Barbados and the Barbados Tourism Marketing Inc. The dinner brings together four acclaimed Caribbean diaspora chefs to collaborate on an eight-course tasting menu inspired by the Caribbean’s historic provision grounds—the fertile plots that have sustained generations of island communities.

Featured Chefs

The featured chefs include:

  • The team behind Aunts et Uncles from Brooklyn
  • Grenadian chef Joachim Joseph
  • Nathan Collymore of London’s Jam Delish, and
  • Jamaica’s Stush in the Bush.

Joining them will be Wyndham Grand Barbados chefs Rashid Wickham and Anthony Linor. Chef Wickham will open the evening with a cocktail reception, and Executive Chef Linor will conclude the experience with dessert.

About The Event

The Provision Ground is the Caribbean’s first fine-dining experience of its kind to feature a fully plant-based, eight-course menu. The event will showcase regional ingredients, root vegetables, spices, and culinary traditions from across the Caribbean. Each course will tell the story of the islands’ agricultural heritage while highlighting the innovation and creativity of contemporary Caribbean cuisine.

Guests will enjoy a cocktail reception, expertly paired wines and spirits, and live presentations from the chefs, who will share the inspiration and cultural significance behind each dish. Organizers say the evening will celebrate both the history of Caribbean foodways and the evolution of plant-based Caribbean gastronomy.

The Navigator’s Table

The Navigator’s Table is a premier, multi-course fine-dining and culinary residency series in Barbados. Hosted by the Best Dressed Plate, this chef residency series aims to position Barbados as a leading culinary tourism destination. The event connects internationally recognized Caribbean chefs with local producers, ingredients, and hospitality professionals.

Tickets are available through Event Noire for US$150 per person. Hotel accommodation is not included but may be booked separately through Wyndham Grand Barbados. Organizers note that this is a one-time event and will not be repeated with the same chef lineup or menu.
