Porter Airlines has a new Bahamas service from Montreal. The nonstop flight service is the airline’s first Caribbean service from Montreal -Trudeau International Airport (YUL) to Nassau (NAS). It is a winter seasonal service which operates three times a week. This route complements existing services from Toronto (YYZ) and Ottawa (YOW).
Andrew Pierce, Vice President of Network Planning and Reporting, sees the flight as a positive development for the airline. “Launching our first Caribbean flight from Montreal is a great addition for travellers who want more choice and convenience when planning winter travel.” He also promised that passengers will be treated to “Porter’s elevated economy experience, including no middle seats and thoughtful service.”
According to Vernice Walkine, president & CEO, Nassau Airport Development Company (NAD), the new route further strengthens the “airport’s role as a key regional hub and reflects continued, strategic growth in airlift to The Bahamas.” She said that they are looking forward to “continuing to work closely with Porter Airlines and our tourism and aviation partners to ensure the long-term success of this new route.”
New Bahamas Service
The new Bahamas service is flown by Porter’s Embraer E195-E2. This aircraft is configured with 132 seats in a comfortable two-by-two layout. Every passenger also benefits from free, fast WiFi, and Porter’s signature onboard hospitality. This includes complimentary premium Canadian snacks and beer and wine served in glassware.
When booking travellers can choose the all-inclusive PorterReserve fares. These fares provide several benefits including flexible ticketing options, priority services in the airport and extra legroom seating at the front of the aircraft. PorterReserve customers also receive fresh, high-quality meals and premium pre-mixed cocktails.
