Jetair Flights to Curacao from Aruba

In July 2022, Jetair and Curacao tourism officials celebrated the inaugural flight from Aruba to Curacao. Curacao is the airline’s seventh destination and joins Suriname, Colombia, Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Aruba and St. Maarten. To welcome Jetair to the island, there was an official water salute and a reception at the airport.

Ministers and officials from the Curacao government, the Curacao Tourist Board (CTB), Curacao Airport Partners (CAP) and Curacao Airport Holding (CAH) attended the reception. They expressed their gratitude for the new partnership and offered congratulations to Jetair on their expansion.

There will be four weekly flight services between Curacao and Aruba on Jetair’s Fokker 70. The Fokker 70 is a narrow-bodied jet that seats 80 passengers. Bookings for flights to Aruba and Curacao can be made on the Jetair website.

Curacao Announces Charter Flights from Ecuador

The Curacao Tourist Board in partnership with Maxi Travel, Mas Travel Ecuador, Dream & Travel Ecuador, Golden Vacations and Castillum Travel has arranged for 12 charter flights from Ecuador to Curacao. The flights, which started at the end of July 2022, originate in Quito, make a short stop in Guayaquil, and then arrive in Curacao.

The flights, which will run until the middle of September, provide a valuable link to Ecuador. There has been much interest in the flight service and as a result, 1,600 visitors from Ecuador are expected over the charter period. Three cities in Ecuador, Quito, Guayaquil and Cuenca, are target tourism markets for Curacao. Tourism officials have been hosting seminars for travel agents and scheduling promotional ads and social media campaigns.

Charter flights are operated by Aeroregional Ecuador, an airline stationed in Cuenca. The aircraft in use is a Boeing 737-400. The aircraft can carry 145 passengers.
